Van Dyken Mechanical was proud to partner with the Children’s Healing Center on the renovation of its facility, helping create a comfortable, healthy, and reliable environment for children with weakened immune systems and their families. As part of the remodel, our team designed and installed a new HVAC infrastructure that supports the Center’s mission of providing a safe place where children can play, learn, and connect. The project included a new indoor air handling unit, rooftop unit, chiller, hydronic VAV system, exhaust fans, louvers, ductwork, chilled water piping, and upgrades to the facility’s heating water system.
Because the facility serves children with unique health considerations, maintaining indoor comfort and air quality was a critical project objective. The upgraded systems were carefully coordinated within the existing building while improving overall efficiency, ventilation, and temperature control throughout the space. From the installation of new mechanical equipment to the integration of updated hydronic and air distribution systems, every aspect of the project was focused on supporting the long-term needs of the facility and its occupants.
We are honored to have contributed to a project that makes such a meaningful impact in our community. The Children’s Healing Center provides an invaluable service to families throughout West Michigan, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support their mission through the creation of a comfortable, dependable, and welcoming environment.
